300 North Meridian, Indianapolis

300 North Meridian is a prominent high-rise office building in Indianapolis, known for its architectural elegance and prime location. Construction began in 1987, financed by Browning Investments, and was completed in 1989. Designed by the architectural firm Haldeman Miller Bregman Hamann (now BOKA Powell), the building incorporates a blend of brownish-reddish granite, reflective black windows, and a striking copper-colored octagonal dome, making it an iconic part of the Indianapolis skyline. At 27 stories tall, it ranks as the fifth-tallest building in the city.

The structure features a distinctive design with stepped façades on its northern and southern sides, which rise in a staircase-like pattern toward the full-height eastern façade. This thoughtful design complements the adjacent Chamber of Commerce building, reinforcing the architectural harmony of the area. The principal façade faces east, overlooking University Park, providing scenic views and a prestigious address.

The building encompasses 509,582 square feet, of which 347,551 square feet are dedicated to office space across 18 floors. The remaining nine floors serve as an enclosed parking garage. The 27th floor, situated directly beneath the dome, includes a reception area with 11-foot ceilings, marble compass inlays, and expansive glass walls offering panoramic views of Indianapolis. The interior showcases luxurious finishes such as cherry wood paneling, polished brass, and light granite, highlighted in its two-story Great Hall and street-level lobby.

300 North Meridian remains a testament to modern architectural design and functionality, offering an impressive blend of aesthetics, practicality, and a prestigious working environment in the heart of Indianapolis.
