Abkhazi Garden and Tea Room, Victoria

Owned by The Land Conservancy of BC, the Abkhazi Garden is an exquisite heritage home and garden located in Victoria, British Columbia, a city known for its wonderful gardens. Prince and Princess Abkhazi began creating their garden in 1946. This was the year they married and settled in Victoria, after living separate lives touched by both privilege and tragedy. They immediately began to develop their one-acre property and continued to maintain and improve the garden throughout their lives together. The garden also has a very nice Tea Room, with some light lunch options too and a really good gift shop.

Why You Should Visit:
Only one acre of land, but perfectly landscaped. Lots of ups and downs will make it one of the most interesting visual experiences to have.
The pathways are easy to follow and there were a number of places to sit.
Meals are rather pricey but very good.

Tip:
No set entrance fee, but a suggested donation of $10/pp is worth it.
Make sure to stop and read about the history of the gardens which is fascinating.
