Acuario de Sevilla, Seville

The Seville Aquarium can be found on the Muelle de las Delicias in Seville. It houses 35 different aquariums, showcasing animals from over 400 diverse species. Among its notable features is a massive oceanarium, holding approximately two million liters of water and reaching a height of nearly 9 meters, making it one of Spain's deepest shark tanks. Visitors to the Seville Aquarium are taken on a journey that retraces Magellan's historic voyage around the world, commencing at Seville's port. Throughout the tour, guests can observe a wide array of species, representing the rich biodiversity found in rivers, seas, jungles, and oceans across the planet.

Within the aquarium, there are various sections, including "Toca Toca" (Touch Touch), where visitors can interact with typical rock pool inhabitants like sea cucumbers, starfish, and sea urchins. Another area, known as "Los Bebes del Acuario" (the nursery), showcases mermaid's purses and eggs attached to aquatic plants. Each tank is equipped with an LCD panel providing information about the various creatures residing within.

The coral reef tanks display vibrant tropical fish with striking blue and yellow markings. The collection also features peculiar species such as puffer fish and pipe fish. Additionally, the Seville Aquarium houses reptiles such as tortoises, anacondas, boas, caimans, tree frogs, and sea turtles. Visitors can also encounter other fascinating marine creatures, including squid, giant octopus, and spider crabs.

Moreover, the aquarium hosts exhibitions and activities, such as "Night with Sharks," during which young visitors can embark on a guided tour, enjoy a picnic dinner, and participate in educational games within the shark facilities.
