Andy's Jazz Club, Chicago

Established in 1951, this venerable club continues to serve as a nightly stage for Chicago's renowned jazz artists. Nestled within an intimate setting, it provides an opportunity to witness performances by some of the world's foremost jazz talents. Distinguished musicians like Franz Jackson, Joey DeFrancesco, Marcus Roberts, and Eddie Johnson have all graced its stage. While Andy's ambiance is adorned with vintage signs, wooden beams, and colored lighting that transport you to a bygone era, most of the performers are youthful musicians dedicated to promoting jazz in its various forms, be it traditional, mainstream, or bebop.

Admission to the club is subject to a fee, and patrons are allocated a two-hour seating limit. The early shows at 5pm and 7pm welcome guests under 21, but for later performances, the age restriction is set at 21 and over. The audience comprises a diverse blend of patrons, including those who come for drinks, avid jazz enthusiasts, and diners drawn by the enticing menu featuring pizzas, ribs, steaks, and seafood.
