Aquarium and the Black Sea Museum, Varna

The Aquarium and the Black Sea Museum, located in Varna's scenic Sea Garden, is one of the city's most renowned attractions. Opened in 1912, this facility serves as a hub for showcasing the diverse flora and fauna of the Black Sea, along with its hydrologic characteristics. The aquarium boasts a comprehensive exposition of all fish groups native to the Black Sea, with a special emphasis on species that migrated from the Mediterranean via the Bosphorus. The Black Sea's ecosystem includes around 140 species, featuring a variety of fish, mussels, and algae, which are prominently displayed.
