Aquarium of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo
The Aquarium of Sao Paulo is one of the largest aquariums in South America and the only aquarium themed park in Brazil. The park consists of 9,000 square meters of land, two million liters of water, 3,000 animals, and 300 species.
Unique, fascinating and entertaining, the aquarium has something for everyone. One really neat feature is the glass floors that allow you see the animals as they swim. Naturalists who wish to see the nocturnal habits of nature can tour the park at night and view the animals with flashlights as they sleep. The aquarium also has space available for those who wish to host parties and an overnight nature children’s camp that includes storytellers and a campfire. Parents are also allowed to attend the camp with their children. Be aware that the dinosaur exhibit might scare small children.
If you are looking for something that children can enjoy, this is the place for you. The park is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Promotional packages are available for schools, tour agencies, companies, hotels, and groups. In addition, the park has agreements with Vasco da Gama Aquarium, Vale do Itajaí University, and the Fishing Museum of Santos.
