Arizona Street Railway Museum, Phoenix
This quaint little museum is a real popular destination for kids and train lovers alike. For over 60 years, the city of Phoenix had a railway system, and this small museum tries to keep alive the spirit of those days in the city.
There are several old trolleys to see here. Two of them from 1929 are in the barn, and have been restored almost completely. The Number 116 car is completely done. You can also get a chance to see an old 1906 Dodge Phelps trolley mining engine here, which is still operational. There is also two hundred feet of track here that can still be used. The location was opened in 1975 and has been entertaining the people of Phoenix ever since. The museum is simply a real wonderful place to visit, and it does not take very long to go, so it can be a good choice on a day when you do not have a lot of time to do something else.
