Artisan Works, Rochester (must see)

Artisan Works is in a remodeled former factory building spanning 40,000 square feet. There are over 500,000 items in the collection, offering something for everyone interested in art. You can even watch the artists creating new works in progress to better understand what is involved with the work they do.

There are free public tours available that give visitors more of an up-close look at what is going on. Visitors may have a chance to talk to the artists and learn more about their creative processes. You may even be able to take advantage of art to lease.

This gallery is host to regular events that the public will enjoy. Free guided tours of collections, such as those found in the Car Museum part of the gallery, are always in demand. Sunday brunches are also very popular events, especially for families with kids of any age.
