Bahá'í Temple, Santiago

Baháʼí Temple is a magnificent place of worship located in Santiago. This awe-inspiring structure was unveiled in 2016 and holds a special place in the hearts of believers and visitors alike.

The temple's design is a true marvel, characterized by its circular shape and adorned with nine graceful arched "sails" crafted from a combination of marble and cast glass. Its unique architecture sets it apart as a true masterpiece. But beyond its beauty, the Santiago Baháʼí Temple holds a profound significance for it exemplifies the core principle of the Baháʼí Faith – unity. This sacred space welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds, transcending any barriers that might divide humanity.

The brainchild of Canadian architect Siamak Hariri, the temple's design garnered admiration and recognition from esteemed Canadian and international architecture organizations. Its concept was chosen through a competition initiated by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baháʼís of Chile in the early 2000s.

On October 13, 2016, a momentous day for the Baháʼí community, the temple was dedicated with great reverence. Just a few days later, on October 19, 2016, its doors were opened to the public, inviting people from all walks of life to experience its splendor and embrace the message of unity and peace it symbolizes.
