The Bank of the West Tower, also known as Five Hundred Capitol Mall, is a notable skyscraper located in downtown Sacramento. Originally opened on May 26, 2009, the building initially bore the name Bank of the West Tower due to the presence of a Bank of the West branch on the ground floor. In 2023, following the acquisition of Bank of the West by BMO Bank, the building was renamed BMO Tower. This renaming marks a new chapter in the building’s history, reflecting its evolving role in the local commercial landscape.
