Barragem da Bravura, Lagos

The Odeáxere dam or Bravura is located on the Odeáxere river. The dam was designed in 1955 and went into operation in 1958.

It is a concrete arched dam. It has a height of 41 m above the foundation (36 m above the natural ground) and a crown length of 150 m (width 5 m). It has a maximum discharge capacity of 8 (bottom discharge) + 21 (flood spillway) m³/s.

It was inaugurated on May 10, 1959, in a ceremony that was attended by the head of state, Américo Tomás.
