Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, San Salvador
Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe is located in a quiet part of the city, where silence and a relaxing atmosphere appropriate for a church are predominant. It has in its grand structure elements of Spanish Baroque style. The interior is characterized as being simple and very attractive due to the main colors of white and black. Ornate and designed chapels and tiles are in both colors. This church is exceptionally beautiful; it was isolated away from the action of the civil war when many of the city's churches were destroyed. This church has maintained its air of history.
