The Beck Cultural Exchange Center in Knoxville is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating African American history and culture. The center was established in 1975 by James H. Beck, Sr., a local businessman and community leader, and is located in Knoxville's historic Mechanicsville neighborhood.

The Beck Center offers cultural and educational programs for people of all ages, including exhibits, lectures, workshops, and performances. Its mission is to collect, preserve, and share the stories of African Americans in East Tennessee and beyond, with a focus on promoting understanding and appreciation of their contributions to American history and culture.

One of the main attractions of the Beck Center is its museum, which features a collection of artifacts and exhibits related to African American history, including slavery, the Civil Rights Movement, and the contributions of African Americans to art, music, and literature. The museum's permanent collection includes photographs, documents, and artifacts from local African American families, as well as exhibits on notable African American figures such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks.

In addition to its museum, the Beck Center provides a range of educational programs for students and adults, including workshops on African American art and music, lectures on African American history and culture, and cultural events such as concerts, plays, and poetry readings. The center also hosts a variety of community events throughout the year, including a Juneteenth Celebration, a Kwanzaa Festival, and an annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day breakfast.
