The National Library of Algeria is located in a picturesque area overlooking the beautiful Garden of Essai. The library, built in 1958, is one of the most contemporary structures in the city. The design is an assemblage of geometrical figures. The hall of the library, in addition to serving as a place to read and study, often hosts a variety of expositions.
