Chapel of Divine Providence is an active chapel. The main service is performed for Monseñor Romero, who was murdered during the mass service. Romero's bedroom is preserved and can be admired by visitors. In 1997 Pope John Paul II gave the name and title of Servant of God to Romero through the process of canonization into sainthood, and this place became more known and important.
