The Chinggis Khaan National Museum, established between 2019 and 2022 on the Mongolian Plateau, celebrates the legacy of the great khan, recognized as a pivotal figure in history. Endorsed by President U. Khurelsukh and supported by the Mongolian government, this museum stands as a cornerstone of Mongolian cultural advancement.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, the museum features six floors housing exhibition halls, event spaces, conference facilities, the esteemed Chinggis Khaan Hall of Fame, and a library, employing over 100 professionals. Its three main sections chronicle the ancient states preceding Chinggis Khaan, the Mongol Empire era, and the subsequent period of his descendants, with over 90% of artifacts being original.
Housed in a nine-story building, the museum's architecture pays homage to Mongolia's heritage, with its main gate resembling a Paiza and the top reminiscent of a yurt. With a collection exceeding 10,000 artifacts, of which more than 85% are original, the museum provides a comprehensive exploration of Chinggis Khaan's history and Mongolia's cultural heritage.
