Denver Place, Denver
Denver Place is a prominent office and retail complex located in the central business district of Denver. Spanning over 1 million square feet, this extensive property occupies an entire city block and is a key fixture in Denver's skyline. Developed by Devco Property Inc. and completed in 1981, Denver Place was designed by Marvin E. Knedler & Associates Architects, P.C.
The complex is composed of two main towers: the South Tower, standing 34 stories and 416 feet (127 meters) tall, and the North Tower, which is 23 stories and 285 feet (87 meters) tall. Both towers feature an elongated hexagonal design, characterized by silver-gray aluminum panels contrasted with dark gray reflective glass. The two towers are positioned diagonally from each other and are connected by the North and South Terraces, both of which are 7 stories tall, creating a cohesive structure. Additionally, there is a bridge that links the complex to the Ritz Carlton and Denver Place Apartments, all of which are owned by Plant Holdings North America, Inc.
At street level, Denver Place includes a retail mall, offering a variety of shopping and dining options. The building is not only significant for its architectural design but also for its commitment to sustainability. It has received several accolades, including the 2005 Denver Metro Building Owners and Managers Association Building of the Year Award in the Earth Award category, and the prestigious Gold LEED-EB Label for its environmentally friendly design.
