Edmund Rice Heritage Centre, Waterford

The Edmund Rice Heritage Centre is a place of historic and spiritual significance for Ireland. It is the center of the Christian Brothers and Presentation Brothers congregations that today serve in 35 countries. Edmund Rice set up a school in 1802 for poor children in Waterford, and he later established the first religious order for men in Ireland. At the center, you may visit the museum, the Edmund Rice Chapel and the tomb of Edmund Rice.
