Erlebnis-Zoo, also known as Adventure Zoo or Hannover Zoo, is a historic and culturally significant zoo in Hanover. Founded in 1865, it stands as the fifth oldest zoo in the country. Spread across 54 acres, this zoo is home to over 3,400 animals, representing 237 different species.

The history of Adventure Zoo reflects the broader historical context of Germany. Like much of Hanover, the zoo suffered damage during World War II.
