Opened in 1932 and covering a sprawling area of 365,000 square meters, Fira de Barcelona stands as one of Europe's largest trade fair grounds. It is divided into two main zones: the Montjuic area spans 165,000 square meters, while the Gran Via district near Plaça d'Espanya occupies 200,000 square meters of exhibition space. Six grand pavilions were constructed as expansive halls to host various trade fairs and exhibitions, including the annual multi-trade Fira de Mostres and specialized industry events.
