Fukiage Ōmiya Palace, Tokyo
This palace, formerly known as the Fukiage Palace, served as the residence of Emperor Showa and Empress Kojun. Following Emperor Showa's passing in 1989, the palace was renamed the Fukiage Ōmiya Palace and became the residence of the Empress Dowager until her death in 2000. Currently, it is not in use.
The term "Ōmiya" translates to "Large Palace" and is also a respectful title for the Empress Dowager. Therefore, the name "Ōmiya Palace" doesn't specifically denote a particular location like Ōmiya-ku in Saitama.
Within the palace grounds, you can find the Three Palace Sanctuaries, where some of Japan's Imperial Regalia is housed. These sanctuaries hold significance in imperial enthronements and weddings as they play a religious role.
