Gene Leahy Mall, Omaha

Gene Leahy Mall is a well-known park, part of The RiverFront's park system. Originally named Central Park Mall in the 1970s, it holds historical significance for Omaha, including landmarks like the Solo Building archway and slides near 11th and Farnam streets. In the 1990s, it was renamed Gene Leahy Mall after former Mayor Eugene A. Leahy.

Gene Leahy Mall remains a downtown oasis, offering amenities like a performance pavilion, a playground, water features, a sculpture garden, and a dog park. It is known locally as Central Park or The Mall. Visitors can enjoy slides, a sculpture garden, a boat cove, a play area for children, and outdoor concerts in the amphitheater during the summer. It is decorated with lights during the winter holidays.
