Genoa Natural History Civic Museum, Genoa
Museum of Natural History in Genoa is an important national museum. It is named after James Doria, who was its founder and director for over forty years. The Museum established itself as the most important in Italy on the subject of Invertebrates, becoming the National Museum for Insects. All insect collections made by Italian military and scientific expeditions, including colonial Libya, Somalia, Abyssinia and Cyrenaica are sent here. At the same time, the museum provides a great collection of specialized books and magazines on animals, especially insects, becoming the largest Italian library on the subject.
