The Helsinki City Museum, dedicated solely to the Finnish capital, is situated in one of the oldest parts of the city near Senate Square. Using technology innovatively, the "Time Machine" allows visitors to explore historical periods of Helsinki with digital aids, making history engaging for all ages. Furthermore, the museum curates an extensive collection, including around one million photographs, including famous early 20th-century snapshots by Signe Brander, and 450,000 other items reflecting Helsinki's diverse history. Additionally, the museum operates four other historical sites in Helsinki, all accessible to the public free of charge.
