Founded in the early 1890s, the parish completed the present Baroque-styled church shortly before 1910. The church was established to serve the growing Catholic community in the Little Italy neighborhood of Cleveland, which included many Italian immigrants.
The building's exterior features a combination of materials, including brick walls, a stone foundation, and copper and stone used for various decorative details. The facade of Holy Rosary Church is a masterpiece in itself. At the center, a grand staircase leads to the double doors at the main entrance. Above this entrance, two large arched windows are prominently placed. Two distinct belt courses, with the lower one being more prominent, grace the upper part of the facade. The lower belt course is interrupted by the large arched windows above the entrance, while the other sits immediately above them.

One of the most distinctive features of the church is the domed cupola that crowns the eastern corner of the building. This architectural element adds a touch of elegance and grandeur to the church's overall design.
In recognition of its architectural significance and its deep-rooted place in the community's history, Holy Rosary Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. This designation underscores its importance as a historical and cultural landmark in Cleveland.
