Iglesia de la Trinidad (Trinity Church), Cordoba

Iglesia de la Trinidad (Trinity Church), Cordoba

The Saint John and All Saints also known as Trinity Church was built in the 18th century. The architecture of the church reflects the Baroque style, which was popular in Spain in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The façade of the church features a large portal with a large arch that frames the entrance. The arch is flanked by two pairs of Corinthian columns that support a pediment with the coat of arms of the Trinitarian order. Above the pediment, there is a small balcony with a wrought-iron railing and a niche with a sculpture of the Holy Trinity. The façade is topped by a bell tower with a clock and a small dome.

The interior of the church is rectangular and consists of a single nave with a flat ceiling. The nave is flanked by two side chapels, and the high altar is located at the far end of the nave. The interior of the church is decorated with paintings, sculptures, and gilded ornaments. The high altar is particularly ornate, featuring a large altarpiece with sculptures of the Holy Trinity and saints.
