Jaarbeurs, Utrecht

Jaarbeurs, Dutch for "Yearly Fair," is one of the Netherlands' premier exhibition and convention centers, located next to Utrecht Centraal railway station. Spanning an impressive 100,000 square meters, it serves as a hub for trade fairs, congresses, music festivals, and large-scale events.

Founded in 1917 at the initiative of the Utrecht Department of Dutch Manufacturers (Vereeniging Nederlandsch Fabrikaat), the first Jaarbeurs was an instant success. With 690 exhibitors and 150,000 visitors, it established Utrecht as a key trade center, significantly boosting the city’s economy.

Over the years, the venue has hosted numerous notable events, including the former Space '86, the Hobby Computer Club Days (HCC Dagen), and the Mega Record & CD Fair. It has also been a stage for major music festivals such as ASOT (A State of Trance) and Thunderdome.

Beyond trade fairs, Jaarbeurs offers spaces for conferences, meetings, and other gatherings. Its facilities include the Beatrix Theatre, which hosts musicals and shows, further cementing its role as a versatile event space in the heart of the Netherlands.
