Established in 1884, the zoo spans expansive grounds, but visitors can conveniently hop on a cable car to swiftly move between attractions. Notable highlights include the "Tigers' Valley", a gorilla house, a petting zoo, and engaging animal shows held twice daily featuring parrots, pelicans, dolphins, sea lions, reptiles, or lemurs.
