Jing Guang Center, Beijing
The Jing Guang Center, an exquisite contemporary edifice, was established in the year 1990. This towering structure, comprising 53 stories, reaches an impressive height of 208 meters. Situated in the heart of Beijing CBD, this skyscraper proudly held the title of the tallest building in Beijing from 1989 to 2006.
From its completion in 1989 until 1996, the Jing Guang Centre also held the distinction of being the tallest building in mainland China. This honor was relinquished upon the completion of the King Tower in Shanghai and Shenzhen's Shun Hing Square. The primary tower of the complex encompasses three distinct sections: a luxurious hotel, a multitude of offices, and stylish condominiums. Additionally, an annexed building provides supplementary office space on the northern side.
Originally known as the Jing Guang New World Hotel Beijing, the hotel segment of the center underwent a transformation in 2012–2013, evolving into the elegant Rosewood Beijing Hotel. The Rosewood Hotel Group proudly oversees both the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and New World brands.
