Lake Annecy. Boat Rental Service, Annecy

Lake Annecy is a beautiful perialpine lake named after the city of Annecy, which is situated at the start of the Thiou, the outflow river of the lake. The lake is the third-largest in France, excluding the French part of Lake Geneva. The lake is known as "Europe's cleanest lake" due to strict environmental regulations that were introduced in the 1960s. This makes it an ideal destination for swimming and water sports.

The lake was formed around 18,000 years ago when the alpine glaciers melted, leaving a large basin. It is fed by many small rivers from the surrounding mountains, including Ire, Eau morte, Laudon, Bornette, and Biolon. Additionally, a powerful underwater source, the Boubioz, feeds the lake at a depth of 82 meters.

The shores of Lake Annecy are a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors from all over the world. At the foot of the "Pont des Amours" on the Pâquier, a park of various boats is accessible with or without a license. Knowledgeable professionals are available to advise visitors on the best boat to choose for their needs, whether they want it for one hour or more.
