Magic Castle, Los Angeles
The Magic Castle is a multifaceted establishment that serves as a performance venue, restaurant, and private club. An average evening at this place includes various magic acts and sometimes other forms of entertainment. They also offer a full-service dining area and multiple bars, creating a nightclub ambiance. The dress code is formal and strictly enforced. Entry is for members and their guests only, but they offer an affordable 30-day trial membership called "Open Sesame" to the public, which can save visitors enough money on door charges to cover the fee.
The Castle's entrance is secretive, requiring a secret phrase at an owl sculpture. Nightly, enjoy five magic shows in three theaters. Weekends offer extra shows in different areas. Magicians perform in various spaces, including Close-Up Gallery, Parlour of Prestidigitation, and Palace of Mystery. Magician members also perform impromptu magic around the bars. An invisible "Irma" plays piano in the music room.

This group consists of highly talented young magicians, many of whom have pursued professional careers in magic. Once a year, they hold a special event called "Future Stars Week," where performers from the Junior Group showcase their skills in evening performances in the Castle's showrooms.
The Academy of Magical Arts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the art of magic. It was initially established in 1952 by magicians and was formally incorporated in 1962 by William Larsen, Jr., the son of its founder, William Larsen, Sr. William Larsen, Jr. and Milt Larsen, another son of William Larsen, Sr., played significant roles in transforming the Academy into an international organization with the Magic Castle as its headquarters since 1963.
