Malaysian Youth Museum, Melaka

The Malaysia Youth Museum, located in Melaka City, is dedicated to showcasing the contributions of Malaysian youth to the country's economic and social well-being on regional, national, and international levels. Established as a documentation center, the museum houses and exhibits a wide range of documents, information, and paraphernalia related to the activities of various Malaysian youth organizations both locally and abroad.

The building that now houses the museum has a rich historical background. Originally part of the Dutch Administrative Complex during the Dutch rule in Malacca, it was later converted into a post office and then an Anglo-Chinese School in 1931. Eventually, it was transformed into the Malaysia Youth Museum, officially opened by then-Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on April 15, 1992. The museum is situated on the ground floor of the building, while the Malacca Art Gallery occupies the upper floor.

Visitors to the Malaysia Youth Museum can explore a variety of exhibits, including photographs of past and present youth leaders, uniforms worn by youth organization members, awards and trophies received, and handicrafts made by youth cooperatives. The museum is conveniently located in the historic Bandar Hilir area, near significant Malacca landmarks such as A Famosa, Saint Paul's Church, the Stadthuys, Christ Church, the Proclamation of Independence Memorial, and the Malacca Sultanate Palace Museum.
