The Michael C. Carlos Museum offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore and learn about art and culture from around the world in a dynamic and interactive environment. Located on the campus of Emory University, a private research university, the museum's collections span over 9,000 years of art and culture from around the world, including ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. A particularly significant collection of ancient art from the Mediterranean and the Near East includes objects such as mummies, pottery, and sculpture.

In addition to the permanent collections, the Michael C. Carlos Museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, lectures, and events that showcase different aspects of art and culture from around the world. Another aspect of the museum is its conservation lab, which allows visitors to see the conservation and restoration work that goes into preserving the collections. There is also a gift shop, a café, and a garden that features sculptures.

The Carlos is well-known for their permanent Ancient Egyptian collection in general and you can explore their many global treasures spread across two floors. Nice educational experience!
