Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Ulaanbaatar

The National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Mongolia, often referred to as the Ulaanbaatar Opera House, stands as a premier cultural institution in Mongolia. The opera house is built in a neoclassical style. Opened on May 15, 1963, with a grand ceremony featuring Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, the theatre quickly established itself as a cornerstone of the country’s performing arts scene.
