In the center of Sobornaya or Cathedral’s Square you will find a tall, impressive statue, dedicated to the Governor-General of the Novorossiya region, Russian prince and field-marshal, Mikhail Semyonovich Vorontsov. The monument was opened to the public on November 9, 1863.
