Munchner Kammerspiele, Munich
The Münchner Kammerspiele is a private theater that specializes in putting on both contemporary and classic German plays. It's located in Munich, near Maximilianstrasse, and features three main stages.
Originally, the Münchner Kammerspiele started as a small private theater established by Erich Ziegel in the Schwabing neighborhood of Munich. However, when Otto Falckenberg became the director, it relocated to its current location on Maximilianstrasse, right in the heart of the city. The main stage, known as the Schauspielhaus, is housed in an Art Nouveau-style building designed by Richard Riemerschmid and Max Littmann. It has been serving as Munich's municipal theater since 1933. In 1961, they added a second smaller stage called the Werkraum for smaller productions. More recently, in 2001, they opened a large building designed by Gustav Peichl next to the Schauspielhaus, equipped with modern facilities, including a separate stage for rehearsals.
Throughout its history, the Münchner Kammerspiele has been a prominent venue for outstanding German stage performances. Many renowned German actors and actresses have delivered their finest performances here. The theater has also hosted world premieres of works by 20th-century playwrights such as Bertolt Brecht, Bruno Hübner, Franz Xaver Kroetz, Fritz Kortner, and Peter Stein. Additionally, it has presented productions of classic plays by William Shakespeare and Goethe.

"Collect moments, not things," wise men say. In reference to travel, this may be interpreted as the prevalence of experiences and memories over material gains. Still, when it comes to travel mementos, albeit material they are, memories and experiences are primarily what these little (or not so little) tokens are all about.
