Museu CR7 (CR7 Museum), Funchal

Located in Funchal, the birthplace of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, the Museu CR7 is dedicated to showcasing his numerous trophies. Additionally, a hotel built in partnership with Ronaldo and the Pestana Group is situated above the museum. The museum's floor is decorated with the museum's logo and styled on traditional Portuguese pavement. União da Madeira, the local football team, is an official sponsor of the museum.

Visitors will find a bronze statue of Ronaldo, created by Madeiran sculptor Ricardo Velosa, situated in front of the museum. The museum was first opened on December 15, 2013, by Ronaldo's former club, Sporting CP. At the time of its opening, the museum featured 126 trophies.

Initially, the museum was located on The Empress Dona Amelia Road (Rua Imperatriz Dona Amélia). On March 24, 2016, the bronze statue of Ronaldo was moved to a new location closer to the port of Funchal and the under-construction hotel. The museum subsequently moved to a larger space of 1,400 on Sea Square (Praça do Mar). The new location is situated below the Pestana CR7 Hotel.

The official opening of the hotel occurred on July 1, 2016, and was attended by Ronaldo, the President of Portugal, and other officials. The square where the hotel is located was renamed CR7 Square (Praça CR7) during the hotel's inauguration.

The museum's exhibition features iconic photographs and videos of Ronaldo's career, as well as wax works of the athlete against pictorial backgrounds that visitors can use as backdrops for photographs. The collection contains all the youth and professional trophies won by Ronaldo at CF Andorinha, Nacional da Madeira, Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus FC, and the Portugal national team.
