Music Hall, Beirut
MusicHall in Beirut is a distinctive cabaret-style music hall theater that has carved a niche for itself in live entertainment and cultural showbiz. Nestled in the Starco Center on Omar Daouk Street, strategically positioned between Petro Paoli Street and Chateaubriand Street in Beirut's city center, MusicHall offers a captivating blend of performances. Since its inception in 2003 by founder and co-owner Michel Elefteriades, the venue has transformed from an old cinema into a vibrant cabaret theatre featuring a mix of local and international acts.
MusicHall is renowned for its eclectic array of performances, hosting up to twelve artists and bands each night, making it Lebanon's leading live music venue and a trendy spot for nightlife. The variety of styles includes World music fusion, jazz, pop, ethnic tunes, bel canto, and even stand-up comedy, catering to diverse musical tastes and cultural interests.
The concept of MusicHall was pioneering at its launch and continues to stand out as a unique entertainment venue in the MENA region. In response to its success, MusicHall expanded its footprint internationally through franchising. Since 2008, there has been significant interest in this model from cities worldwide, including São Paulo, Dubai, Cairo, Istanbul, and Doha. Although the first franchise in Qatar was delayed due to the financial crisis of 2008, it opened in Dubai in 2013, further solidifying the brand's appeal.
Additionally, 2013 saw the expansion of MusicHall within Beirut itself, with the inauguration of "MusicHall Waterfront," an open-air venue that leverages the picturesque setting near Downtown Beirut's seaside. The brand's international reach extended to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in the summer of 2019, marking another milestone as the first club of its kind to open in the Kingdom.
