Muzeon - Jewish History Museum, Cluj-Napoca

Muzeon offers a captivating journey into the rich history of Cluj's Jewish community. Through the lives of Julia, Paul, and David, spanning from the early 20th century to the present day, visitors are immersed in a narrative that unfolds in six languages: Romanian, English, Hungarian, Hebrew, French, and Spanish.

The exhibition's narrative draws inspiration from the rich family history of the Lusztig family, whose origins can be traced to the quaint Transylvanian village of Chichișa. Settling first in a nearby village near Cluj towards the end of the 19th century before eventually relocating to the city itself, the Lusztig family thrived amidst their new surroundings.

At Muzeon, visitors are afforded the opportunity to delve into the vibrant tapestry of Cluj's Jewish community by exploring the captivating journey of the Lusztig family. The exhibition's audio guides are crafted around the life stories of three distinct members of the family, each embarking on a unique and compelling destiny.
