National Science Museum, Accra (must see)
National Science Museum is the oldest and the largest museum in the country. It was founded in 1957. The museum exhibitions are focused on archaeology and ethnography but you will also find wonderful examples of local fine art. The archaeological collection includes artifacts and fossils from Stone Age to present. In the ethnographical department you will learn more about the Ghanaian people's culture through national musical instruments, traditional textile, jewelry, gold-weights and handicrafts. There is also a small art gallery with Ghanaian artists’ contemporary works.
