Nedbalka Gallery, established in 2012, is a significant cultural institution in Bratislava. Housed in a beautifully renovated historic building, the gallery operates as a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Slovak Modern Art. Its mission focuses on acquiring, processing, and presenting Slovak art pieces from the late 19th century through the 20th century, extending into the early 21st century.

The collection primarily features paintings but also includes sculptures and graphic art, reflecting the diverse artistic expressions of the era. Currently, Nedbalka Gallery boasts a collection of over five hundred works, providing a substantial representation of Slovak fine arts from the designated periods.

Visitors to the gallery can explore its permanent exhibition spread across four floors, which chronicles the evolution of modern artistic movements in Slovakia. This exhibition features approximately 160 key paintings and sculptures, offering a comprehensive overview of Slovak art from the 20th century. The works are thoughtfully organized both chronologically and thematically, highlighting major artistic trends over more than a century.

Prominent artists from the turn of the century featured at the gallery include Ladislav Medňanský, Dominik Skutecký, and Peter Július Kern. The interwar period is represented by notable figures such as Anton Jaszusch, Ľudovít Fulla, and Miloš Alexander Bazovský, among others. Additionally, the gallery showcases the Mikuláš Galanda Group and its members, who have significantly influenced Slovak art.

Later 20th-century artists such as Július Jakoby, Ernest Zmeták, and Milan Dobeš are also part of the gallery's extensive collection. Through its ongoing exhibition activities and special exhibits, along with a variety of professional publications and catalogs, Nedbalka Gallery continues to educate and engage the public in the rich history and development of Slovak modern art.
