Nurul Islam Mosque Patong (Patong Mosque), Phuket

Patong Mosque is a prominent religious landmark located in Patong. With its large green dome and beautiful minaret, the mosque stands out and can be easily spotted from Phrabaramee Road, especially when approaching Patong Beach from Phuket Town or Kathu. The mosque is approximately 700 meters away from the well-known Patong Beach.

This three-story mosque serves as a place of worship for the local Muslim community as well as visitors to the area. The ground floor of the mosque is dedicated to the ablution area, providing separate facilities for both men and women to perform ritual washing before prayer. The second floor houses the main prayer zone, where congregational prayers are held throughout the day. Additionally, there is an additional prayer area available on the third floor.

On Fridays, the mosque becomes particularly bustling, with over 500 people in attendance. This diverse congregation consists of both Thai locals and foreigners, including tourists and expatriates. During other prayer times, which occur five times a day, there is also a steady stream of individuals coming to pray together.

The mosque features a wrap-around balcony on the second floor, which serves as an ideal space for gatherings and the sharing of religious knowledge and experiences. Here, people can engage in discussions and socialize, fostering a sense of community within the mosque.
