Onondaga County Public Library, Syracuse
The Onondaga County Public Library resulted from the merger of the Onondaga Library System and the Syracuse Public Library. The Syracuse Public Library opened in 1905 on Montgomery Street, and the Onondaga Library System was organized in 1962 to serve Onondaga County. In 1976 these two organization combined to form the Onondaga County Public Library. The library is currently funded by both the city and the county and also receives grants from the state.
