Palm & Star Islands, Miami
Palm and Star Islands are two man-made islands located in Biscayne Bay, just off the coast of Miami Beach, Florida. The islands were created in the 1920s by developer and investor Carl Fisher, who saw an opportunity to create an exclusive community of luxurious homes and estates on the waterfront.
The project to create the islands involved dredging millions of cubic yards of sand from the bay and using it to build up the two islands. Fisher had a grand vision for the development, which included expansive parks, grand avenues, and opulent homes designed by some of the most renowned architects of the time.
Fisher's vision for Palm and Star Islands was a success, and the islands quickly became one of the most prestigious and desirable addresses in Miami. The islands were home to some of the wealthiest and most influential people of the time, including celebrities, politicians, and business magnates.
Over the years, the islands have remained a symbol of luxury and exclusivity in Miami. Today, they are still home to some of the city's most opulent and impressive homes, as well as a number of high-end restaurants and boutiques. The islands are also a popular destination for boaters and sightseers, who can enjoy the stunning views of the Miami skyline and the crystal-clear waters of Biscayne Bay.
