Parque de la Salud (Health Park), Asuncion

The Health Park was established in 1997 as a natural reserve by the Municipal Board of Asunción. Its journey culminated in its official inauguration on December 14, 2007. Located in the serene Santo Domingo neighborhood, this expansive 19-hectare park, managed by the Instituto de Previsión Social (IPS), offers a sanctuary for health-conscious individuals and families alike.

One of the distinctive features of the park is its well-maintained trails, catering to various fitness levels and preferences. The main trail stretches over 1,500 meters, providing ample space for brisk walks or invigorating jogs. For cycling enthusiasts, a fully illuminated 1,400-meter cycle path offers a safe and enjoyable riding experience. Additionally, the park boasts the Bicentennial Promenade and the Golden Path, designed specifically for seniors and those undergoing rehabilitation, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all.

With its lush greenery and native trees, the Health Park serves as Asunción's second green lung, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
