Parque El Picacho (Picacho Park), Tegucigalpa

Picacho Park is a popular destination for both its busy walking trails and its iconic landmark, The Christ of Picacho. This 20-meter high statue of Christ can be seen illuminated at night, standing high above the city. Visitors come to the park mainly for the sweeping views of the city and surrounding mountains.

Additionally, the park features a small zoo with local animals such as monkeys, snakes, macaws, and iguanas, as well as a taxidermy collection.
