Parque Etxebarria (Etxebarria Park), Bilbao

Etxebarria Park (Parque Etxebarria) is a municipal park in the Biscayan city of Bilbao. It is located in the Begoña district , on the site of an old steel foundry. As a result of the industrial conversion plan that took place in the city in the 80s, the place gave way to a large public park, which today is the largest in the city. The park is located in a sloping space on one of the slopes that surround the valley in which the city is located. It thus has excellent views over Abando and the Old Town.

In the center an original chimney is preserved as a tribute to the old foundry, which can be seen from different places in Bilbao, such as from the Uríbarri neighborhood or Mount Archanda.

In Etxebarria park the booths are set up during the city festivities, and it is also from here where the fireworks are fired.
