The Pink Adobe Restaurant and Dragon Room Bar, Santa Fe

The Pink Adobe Restaurant and Dragon Room Bar, Santa Fe

The legendary Pink Adobe restaurant stands in the heart of Santa Fe's historic Barrio de Analco neighborhood, considered the oldest neighborhood in the U.S. It sits across from the San Miguel Mission, the oldest church in the U.S.

Founded in 1944 by Rosalea Murphy, an artist and social connector, the restaurant takes its name from the rose-colored adobe plastering on the nearly 400-year-old hacienda that serves as its home. As the historic plaque out front states: "The Pink Adobe has served as host to Presidents, local politicos, world-famous artists, actors, musicians, and some of the most interesting characters known to Santa Fe."

According to a local newspaper, the Dragon Room next door is one of the city's top bars—the perfect place to enjoy an evening in a friendly and funky atmosphere. The trees growing through its roof and the beautiful art displayed add a unique vibe. Recent upgrades to the cocktail list and a good selection of small bites to share make it even more appealing. Might as well start your evening here and then proceed to The Pink Adobe for a fantastic dinner!
