Pink TV Headquarters, Belgrade

RTV Pink, also known as Radio-Television Pink, is a prominent Serbian media outlet headquartered in Belgrade. Established on September 16, 1994, Pink TV is the flagship operation of Pink International Company, which in turn is part of the larger Pink Media Group (PMG). Owned by Željko Mitrović, PMG is a significant player in the Balkan media landscape, with additional television stations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, and Macedonia.

TV Pink holds a dominant position in Serbia's television broadcast market, primarily due to its strong focus on entertainment programming. This has enabled it to become the leading commercial station in the country. The network is also recognized for its distinctive branding, particularly its logo which features a splat shape—first introduced at the network's launch and has undergone various modifications over the years.

The original logo, characterized by the Cartoon Bold font, was used extensively until a major rebranding in 2004, although elements of it remained visible on certain platforms and products, like the back covers of albums from Grand Production, until 2013. The logo received significant updates over the years, including a shift to a 3D effect and lowercase lettering in 2012. This change was part of a broader overhaul of the channel’s on-screen graphic package, moving away from the randomly arranged marketing bumpers previously used.

Additionally, the logo has featured prominently in various contexts on the channel, including as a crawl headline separator during news broadcasts up until December 2019. Over the years, the logo’s placement and features such as accompanying digital clocks have varied, reflecting the channel's evolving aesthetic and functional needs.

Belgrade Introduction Walking Tour

Belgrade has been a city of strategic importance for millennia with its location at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. In fact, it is one of the oldest continually inhabited cities on the planet.

Nomadic tribes inhabited the area as far back as 20,000 to 50,000 years ago. Some of these may have been Neanderthals rather than modern humans. By the sixth century BC, the Vinca culture...  view more
