Piriquita, Sintra

Cheese cakes are very popular in Portugal. The most popular which you can also taste in Sintra’s Piriquita cafe and pastry shop is Queijadas. Piriquita Company is a former cheese factory and since 1862 they have produced cakes. It offers a wide range of cupcakes, pillows, pastries and golden walnuts. Try a hot Travesseiros de Sintra stuffed with eggs and you will ask for seconds. All the products are very tasty and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
